Hydraulic Auxiliary Drive
More power, less consumption.
If you need traction, the Hydraulic Auxiliary Drive (HAD) supports you with up to 450 bar hydraulic pressure on the front axle. The HAD is up to 350 kg lighter than an optionally engageable all-wheel drive. This way, you save a lot of fuel: up to 6 % compared to a vehicle with an optionally engageable all-wheel drive and even up to 8 % compared to a permanent all-wheel drive.
Predictive Powertrain Control
Consume less with foresight.
Whether on the motorway, main roads or country roads: thanks to Predictive Powertrain Control, you can drive even more efficiently. This is made possible by the satellite-based system and precise 3D maps. The assistance system can identify your current route and adjusts the gear sequence to the upcoming driving situation. This way, you consume up to 5%1 less fuel.
MirrorCam2
When it comes to consumption, less is more.
With the road-oriented Actros tipper semitrailer, you are efficiently on the road as standard. Instead of conventional mirrors, the smart MirrorCam provides improved aerodynamics – reducing fuel consumption by up to 1.3%. Economical engines and intelligent driving programmes further reduce overall costs.

With the MirrorCam, you can see what’s happening around your truck. Two cameras and large displays on the A-pillars replace the conventional exterior mirrors. Whether you are turning or manoeuvring: the camera image adjusts automatically.

Shows you the way: the Mercedes‑Benz Trucks navigation system was specially developed for trucks and provides you with dynamic route guidance. Thanks to real-time traffic data, Live Traffic Information gets you from one construction site to another on the fastest route.

At the construction site and on the way there: innovative assistance systems keep you safe on the road. This allows you to detect dangers at an early stage, brake in good time and maintain an overview of the traffic situation.
Safety on both sides as standard: the latest generation of Active Sideguard Assist provides even better support when changing lanes, overtaking and turning in complex situations.
Keeping an eye on everything: Front Guard Assist can monitor the area in front of the vehicle and support the driver with warning signals in the event of possible hazards – for safer moving off, manoeuvring and turning.
More comfort and safety on the road: Active Drive Assist 3 combines a range of assistance functions that make your work in the cockpit easier and help to avoid dangerous situations as far as possible.
Always alert: everyone gets tired on long, monotonous journeys – but Attention Assist 2 does not. The system can keep an eye on your concentration and recognise when you become inattentive or tired. It can warn you audibly and visually.

Based on a detailed assessment of your drivers' individual driving styles, important insights and driving recommendations are generated that lead to an improved driving style and increased fuel efficiency.
Mercedes-Benz Trucks Uptime
Mercedes‑Benz Trucks Uptime checks the status of many of your truck’s systems when it is started up. It can identify critical states – and sends predictive repair and maintenance instructions. This allows you to react faster and avoid predictable breakdowns as much as possible. Downtimes are reduced. And so are associated costs.

Manage your vehicles as well as related contracts and information: you can do this easily with My TruckPoint for Mercedes‑Benz Trucks, the digital customer portal. Here you can also register your truck and get free access to TruckLive for three years. After the free phase of 36 months has expired, you can purchase TruckLive as a paid service. Warranty

In addition to the 12 month warranty with unlimited mileage for the complete vehicle, the extended Mercedes‑Benz Trucks warranty extends to 36 months for parts of the drivetrain. It affects parts groups in the engine, transmission, drive shaft(s) and drive axle(s) up to a maximum of 450,000 km depending on the type of use.
