End-of-life vehicles, battery recycling & packaging recycling

For Mercedes-Benz Trucks

To make it as easy as possible for you to return your vehicle, Mercedes-Benz in the UK has partnered with Autogreen Ltd to provide a Government approved national network of certified dismantling facilities for end-of-life vehicles. They will take care of the environmentally friendly dismantling and recycling of your vehicle once it has reached the end of its life.*

To find your nearest Mercedes-Benz appointed recycling facility visit www.rewardingrecycling.co.uk or call 0800 542 2002.

End of life content teaser

All battery producers in the UK are required to be registered with the Government as part of an EU-wide initiative to increase battery collection/recycling and completely prohibit the landfill/incineration of automotive, industrial and portable batteries.

You can find information regarding the return, collection and recovery systems available to you for packaging at www.recycle-more.co.uk.

Information regarding packaging markings and their potential for recovery or recycling can be found by clicking the link below.

* Autogreen's network of Authorised Treatment Facilities and take-back points will take back registered Mercedes-Benz & FUSO vehicles. These sites will not charge for the disposal of these vehicles if the vehicle is complete, i.e. the vehicle must include its essential component parts, including but not limited to its engine, coachworks/chassis, transmission drive, catalytic converter, wheels, and must not contain waste. As part of Autogreen’s Rewarding Recycling Programme they may even be able to provide you with a value for your vehicle’s recycled parts and metals.

End of life vehicle legislation makes provision for the free take back of all vehicles up to a maximum gross vehicle weight of 3.5T. However, if your vehicle exceeds this weight, Autogreen may consider the take back of your vehicle subject to applicable terms and conditions.
