In 1996, the Actros was introduced to serve the long‑haul and heavy‑duty distribution haulage sector – in 2016 an impressive limited edition is celebrating its 20th anniversary.
Only the best for its birthday.
The Actros had already undergone development for over two decades in 2016 – securing its place as the flagship for long‑haul transportation. From the IAA Commercial Vehicles trade fair this year you will be able to touch and even drive this pride & joy: The “20 years of Actros” special model, limited to just 200 vehicles, takes safety, comfort and economy to a new level with its generous equipment fittings. This includes Active Brake Assist 4, for example, which from its introduction in the special edition shall now be installed as standard. Also on board: Proximity Control Assist, Turn Assist, Lane Assist, Attention Assist, Driver Airbag and Retarder.

the joy of driving in a class of its own with the limited 20‑year edition.
“The special model is supplied in all colours so that it can be incorporated perfectly into any fleet.”
The “20 years of Actros” also has an impressive visual look. The front of the series has been upgraded with a front apron constructed from chrome and precious metal. The Actros’ status as a special model is cemented with its anniversary badges on its exterior mirror housings and a framed brand logo on the front panel. Stainless steel covers on all wheels and axles as well as aerodynamic side panelling with stainless steel‑look louvres round off the overall appearance. The special model is supplied in all colours so that it can be incorporated perfectly into any fleet.
The climb into the cab grows into an experience: Illuminated anniversary logos point towards its extensive fittings that include automatic air conditioning, ambient lighting, a refrigerator and a sound system. The high degree of comfort has been further enhanced by colour‑adjustable LED lighting for the sliding/tilting roof in its glass design.
The proud owners shall also benefit from its outstanding cost‑effectiveness: This is ensured, for example, by Predictive Powertrain Control and a further fuel consumption‑optimised drivetrain, which is also being introduced in 2016.
