PT Daimler Commercial Vehicles Indonesia (DCVI) held the final round of Indonesia TechMasters 2020 on January 18, 2020 at the Mercedes-Benz Aftersales Training Center & Parts Department facility located in Ciputat. Indonesia TechMasters 2020 was the first after-sales service competition by DCVI to develop the skills and mechanical competence of after-sales service from all authorized DCVI dealers in order to provide the best and reliable service for customers.

Participated by a total of 115 participants who were Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicles’ mechanics from DCVI dealers across Indonesia which started from September 2019. In the preliminary round, participants are required to complete online theoretical tests. In the final round, 6 best truck mechanics and 6 bus mechanics who successfully passed the preliminary round underwent a 45-minute knowledge test on the commercial and technical aspects. The final round will then be followed by a 1-hour practical skills test, which will test the mechanical ability to diagnose technical problems.

This national level competition has resulted in winners in the bus category won by Purwanto from PT Transforma Oto Prima's partner dealer, followed by I Komang Wilantara from PT Hartono Raya Motor Bali's partner dealer, and Ferry Ferdiawan from PT Citrakarya Pranata's partner dealer. Meanwhile for the truck category was won by Jeni Jaelani from PT Citrakarya Pranata's partner dealer, followed by Wahid Hidayat from PT Panji Rama Automotive's partner dealer, and Mukhoeroni Rosadi from PT Alun Indah's partner dealer.
