When you need grip, the Hydraulic Auxiliary Drive (HAD) supports you with up to 450 bar hydraulic pressure on the front axle. The HAD is up to 350 kg lighter than an optionally engageable all-wheel drive. This way, you save a lot of fuel: up to 6% compared to a vehicle with optionally engageable all-wheel drive and even up to 8% compared to a vehicle with permanent all-wheel drive.
Predictive Powertrain Control
Consume less with foresight.
Whether on the motorway, A or B roads: Thanks to Predictive Powertrain Control, you can drive even more efficiently. This is made possible by the satellite-based system and precise 3D maps. The assistance system can identify your current route and adjusts the gear sequence to the upcoming driving situation. This way, you consume up to 5%1 less fuel.
