This includes a self‑developed hydraulic ramp for the trailers, so that the company’s own forklift trucks can come along and loading and unloading becomes child’s play. Exclusively. “We drive only Mercedes‑Benz – for almost 25 years now,” says Operations Manager Jürgen Reising. “Partly because the star is always one step ahead of other manufacturers in terms of safety.” Service and reliability are just as convincing. At Fels, however, the job is often not done with transport alone – it continues with installation and assembly. There is no such thing as an apprenticeship, learning by doing counts here: new employees generally spend at least two years with an experienced team. “And because our drivers often also assemble the delivered machine, we deliberately focus on comfort: with the Actros, our people simply get to the customer more rested.”
