Comfort in detail.
The Atego provides you with a wide range of practical and comfort-enhancing functions. The line-up includes convenient brief turn signals, for example, a warning tone for parking brake and lights, cruise control operation using the buttons on the multifunction steering wheel and "follow me home" lights. In short: a host of functions to make everyday life with the vehicle more pleasant.

Cockpit variants.
The different cockpit variants for the Atego are also tailored closely to operational needs. Two cockpit variants are notable for the ergonomic layout of all the controls and a practical array of storage facilities.
Classic Cockpit.
Everything is arranged ergonomically and within the driver’s reach. Soft surfaces conjure up a high-class setting. The PowerShift 3 automated transmission, for example, is controlled conveniently by means of the right-hand steering-column lever. Additional power sockets for the centre module are available as special equipment.
Standard Cockpit64
From the cupholder within reach of the driver to the power socket: everything in the cab is designed with the aim of making the job of the driver easier and more pleasant.
Workplace Atego.
Two cockpit variants boast ergonomic design and provide ample storage facilities. Intuitive switchgear and the multifunction steering wheel offer added ergonomic comfort. A 4" instrument cluster presents comprehensive and clearly arranged information enabling relaxed and concentrated driving.
Multifunction steering wheel.
With eight control buttons on both sides of the steering wheel, it is possible to control many functions in one place. For example, telephone calls can be answered and radio settings can be adjusted.
Navigation system.
The Mercedes-Benz Truck navigation system is available as a truck-specific dynamic route guidance, featuring Live Traffic Information, conveniently presented on the primary display.
Radios.
The Atego comes with an integrated radio infotainment system, as standard, that creates a whole new experience in the cab. A digital radio featuring Digital Audio Broadcasting (DAB) is included as standard. Numerous connection options are available for integrating external devices, such as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Seats.
All the seats impress with a high level of comfort. The controls are arranged intuitively, the seat cushions are particularly wide and the adjustment range especially large: lengthwise up to 200 mm, height up to 100 mm.
Driver's suspension seat, standard.
A suspension seat is fitted as standard on the Atego. The air-sprung seat boasts a higher standard of seated comfort, several adjustment options and a flat-weave fabric cover.
Climatised suspension seat.
The optionally available air-suspended, climatised driver's suspension seat provides pleasant seating conditions and a high level of comfort. The integral armrests and the seat heating also contribute to this.
Gearshift.
PowerShift 3.
High levels of dynamic response, simple handling and minimised fuel consumption2. The automated transmission helps to ensure precise gear selection, short shift times, high driving comfort and a very high level of economic efficiency.
Storage facilities.
The storage concept meets a wide range of driver's requirements, making it easier to keep the cab tidy and maintain a high level of organisation and efficiency. From the large storage compartment on the dash support to
the storage facilities in the cockpit, on the engine tunnel, above the windscreen and in the door panelling – everything is tailored to the items that need to be stowed away.
Optionally available for the engine tunnel are a low-mounted storage facility with two cup holders and an ashtray slot, a high-mounted storage compartment for everyday items and a refrigerator box in which bottles and food can be stored separately.
The storage net which is optionally available on the rear panel for S-Cabs further augments the scope of storage facilities on offer. Alongside the storage facilities in the cockpit, in the doors and on the engine tunnel, the L-Cab ClassicSpace has additional storage space on offer, for example in the storage compartments above the windscreen and under the bed.
Resting and sleeping comfort.
The Atego features various comfortable beds, when specified with an
L-Cab. In addition to the bottom bed that is fitted in all L-Cabs as standard, for the BigSpace L-Cab the top comfort bed is optional with a width of 685 mm and a length of 1865 mm. On L-Cabs an optional flexible seat/bunk combination can be configured either as a sleeping berth or as seating for up to four people.
