Fewer cents per kilometre – the operationally optimised drivetrain configuration of the Actros lets you travel economically.

Depending on application, the Telligent® maintenance system allows service intervals of up to 120,000 km and optional oil-change intervals of up to 150,000 km . This is because it is based on the actual wear and tear of the Actros – enabling the potential of all the operating fluids to be utilised to the full. Also helping to reduce fuel consumption are the two-stage regulated water pump¹, the compressed-air control system on air-sprung vehicles – and the optional aerodynamic A-pillar panelling.

Safety.

More innovations, enhanced safety, fewer accidents.

The first requirement for exemplary safety: an absolute commitment to actively preventing accidents through innovative technical solutions. A prime example are the cabs that meet the European ECE-R 29 standard; secondly, good all-round visibility, and thirdly, the use of non-splintering, low-flammability materials with no sharp edges. Ensuring that braking distances are short is the Telligent® brake system with ABS, ASR, 10 bar permanent operating pressure and internally ventilated disc brakes that lose none of their effectiveness even under prolonged use.

The cabs also meet the European ECE-R 29 standard, there is good all-round visibility and non-splintering, low-flammability materials with no sharp edges are used. Protection from bright sunlight is provided by roller blinds for the windscreen, the driver's side. For us, safety also means protecting the vehicle and driver from uninvited guests – which is why we offer an optional enhanced central locking system which locks the doors at the touch of a button and also closes any open windows and the roof hatch automatically.

Comfort.

Impressive driving and living comfort.

Attractive, composed and powerful, from its sun visor right down to the front apron: these are the trademark Actros characteristics. Not only does it boast an attractive design; it also leaves nothing to chance where comfort, safety and economy in day-to-day operations are concerned. As a driving, working and living environment, the two different cabs more than meet today’s constantly increasing demands.

Working comfort.

Lots of room to move around and plenty of space for living and working. L cabs are equipped as standard with an air-sprung driver's suspension seat, manually controlled air conditioning, a lower comfort bed and a host of practical shelves and stowage compartments. The ergonomically designed instrument cluster, the multifunction steering wheel which can be adjusted by up to 66 mm for height and from 10° to 42° for rake, the standard one-touch indicator function and the optionally available rain and light sensor also leave nothing wanting.

Last but not least: a standing height of up to 1.92 m, the standard battery status indicator, which informs the driver of the battery charge level and the engine's ability to start, and the compressed-air connection which can be used to clean the cab. In the Actros, everything is focussed on just one goal: getting the job done comfortably, safely and cost-effectively.

Home comforts.

The Actros has a lot to offer when it comes to home comforts too: standard features include, for example, the lower comfort bed and seats that can be folded forward simply by unlatching² the backrest. In short: there is a great deal to look forward to in the Actros. Also on board: large stowage facilities, co-driver's seats that enhance living comfort and lights for every occasion.

Reliability.

High test requirements – high quality.

Long distance transport is a tough business. Which is why our test programme is just as tough. Because only a truck that has been optimally prepared from top to bottom for the rigours of day-to-day operation can do what we expect of it. And what you expect of it too.

So our trucks are subjected each year to a range of stringent tests, because each improvement or further development has to show that it has the absolute maturity to enter series production and will also perform as intended in practice. Only by doing so can we at Mercedes-Benz be sure that our trucks will set the international benchmark for economy and reliability. Both now and in the future.
